BIOGRAPHY

As a native to Texas, Melissa has created some of the most unique mixed media art out there today.  Although her education and passion is Interior Design, she has become one of the most unique local artists of her time as well. "Art makes a room," and it most definitely does with the art concoctions she is creating.  

 

Upon receiving a B.F.A from the Art Institute of Dallas, she went on to work in the commercial and residential areas of design, while also creating her own artwork for clients and other design professionals.

"The most important trend in the world we live in today is individuality.  Taking creative risks is at the core of what really good art and design is all about.  I find that insignificant materials and objects that may not seem like elements to be used in art, are the most inspirational to me.  I like taking chances and constantly experiment with different media and unconventional ways to use a canvas."
